Yesterday saw 6 Year Six pupils travel to the St. Ivo Outdoor Centre
to take part in the Level Three Quicksticks Hockey Tournament.
We were
one of four teams selected to represent the Huntingdonshire School
Sports Partnership after finishing equal third in the Level Two
Competition the week before.
There were four teams representing each of
the following School Sports Partnerships at the competition:
Huntingdonshire, Peterborough, Cambridge, South Cambridgeshire and
Witchford.
Our team consisted of Megan C, Morgan C, Katie G, Sami F, Luke M and Alex B. We played 4 group matches and a placings match.
Crosshall 1 – 2 Bottisham
Megan, Morgan, Luke and Sami took to the pitch for our first match with Luke opening our scoring.
Little Thetford 0 – 1 Crosshall
Megan,
Katie, Sami and Alex played the second match with Sami scoring our
second goal of the tournament. Sami was substituted by Alex part way
through the second half.
Eye 3 – 0 Crosshall
Katie, Morgan, Sami and Alex played the third match in which Katie was substituted by Megan and Sami by Luke.
Crosshall 0 – 4 Swavesey
Megan, Morgan, Sami and Luke played the final group match which was the toughest by far.
Kingsfield 1 – 2 Crosshall
Megan,
Morgan, Alex and Luke started our placings match with Katie
substituting Morgan and Sami, Alex for the second half. Morgan and Alex
score our goals.
We finished fourth in our group of five – we are still waiting to hear where we finished overall.
We would like to thank the team for their commitment over the past year
and we are really pleased with the progress that they have made since they
started training last summer.
