A mild, sunny Sunday morning met 19 Crosshall pupils at Priory Park
for the 2017 Cambridgeshire County Cross Country Championships.
We had
athletes in 4 age groups: Under 11 Girls (1.7Km), Under 11 Boys (1.7Km),
Under 13 Girls (2.9Km) and Under 13 Boys (2.9Km). All athletes ran
fantastically, especially as they were up against strong competition
from athletes who train and race regularly with athletics clubs from all
over Cambridgeshire and those that ran in the Under 13 age groups were
racing against athletes from school years 6, 7 & 8.
In
the Under 11 Girls race Caris V was first home in 24th, backed up
by Lilly H 26th and Isabelle B 30th to complete Crosshall’s
1st team and 4th team overall. Georgia S, Bethan
T and Thea H completed the 2nd Crosshall team and 8th team
overall. Livvie B, Fabia A and Ella D were our 3rd
team and 8th team over all.
The Under 11 boys were lead
home by Luke M in 23rd, followed by Aedon L in 31st and Jake
S in 35th completing Crosshall’s 1st team and 8th team overall.
Freddy W 39th, Jakob G 43rd and Samuel F 48th completed our
2nd team
Our only Under 13 girl was Amelia F finishing in 38th.
In the Under 13 boys we had 2 boys running Henry W finishing 43rd and Adam W 51st.
