Today, Mrs. Gould, Mrs. Farrugia, Mrs. Parween and Miss
Howell took a group of nineteen Year Five and Six students to compete in a
netball tournament at Longsands.
Our A, B and C teams competed against
teams from nine other local schools.
The tournament was
very successful and the organisation was superb. Across all of the teams
there was a high level of skill shown and a real sense of enjoyment in
playing the game.
Our pupils represented Crosshall in
the best possible way; taking part with a good mix of competitive
spirit, fairness, sportsmanship and ultimately having lots of fun.
Each
of our teams had some successes in their matches and played in the
play-offs at the end of the evening.
The A team were particularly
successful, winning each of their first-round matches with impressive
score lines and then drawing with Roundhouse A team in the 1st place
play-off. As a result, we were delighted to come away with a joint first
place award and a chance to share the trophy.
We would
like to thank and congratulate all of the pupils who took part and also
thank you to the parents who came to support their children.
