Cambridgeshire County Cross Country Championships 2018

Today saw 27 Year Five & Six athletes from the school cross country squad take on the mud of Priory Park in cold, sunny conditions. We had 10 boys and 10 girls running in the Under 11 Boys and Girls, racing over 1.7km. Also, 5 boys and 3 girls in the Under 13 Boys and Girls races, running 2.9km.

The Under 11 Boys set off first with some fantastic performances. 1st home was Alfie R 9th, George P 15th, Ben S 17th, William S 33rd, Matthew P 38th, Connor C 43rd, William G 44th, Joshua M 45th, Adam S 52nd and Leo H 58th. Alfie, George and Ben were 2nd team home overall. Other team positions were 11th & 12th.

The Under 11 Girls were next up with Livvie B leading the girls home in 13th and a minute quicker than she ran last year. Next came the Under 13 races. These were tough races for our athletes as they were some of the youngest in the race.

The boys raced 1st. Luke M lead the boys home in 54th with Jacob P 55th, Joshua R 57th and Samuel F 66th. The boys finished 15th team.

The Under 13 Girls finished off the morning with a strong run from Lily-May R leading the girls home in 37th, Millie Y 39th and Bethan T 42nd. The girls were 8th team.

Really impressive, strong performances that all the athletes put in!
